Don’t Get A Job In Vancouver

Posted by: Phil    in Healthy Chocolate

Vancouver low start up businessRich Dad, Poor Dad” was a bestseller among Langley entrepreneurs, parents and Vancouver home business owners. Author Robert Kiyosaki’s new book, “The Business of the 21st Century,” is about the advantages of network marketing businesses.

In an article in Direct Selling News (April 2010), Kiyosaki talked about his latest book and how the rules have changed for American workers.

Kiyosaki argues that Americans cannot rely on corporate jobs for a secure living because of technology and global competition. He points out that though technology helps us be more productive, it also eliminates jobs that used to require a real person.

The amount of vacant office space here in Vancouver and the number of people collecting unemployment is a constant reminder of the jobs lost in our area.

Overseas competition has drastically lowered wages, even for highly skilled positions. “Americans can no longer make $80 an hour because there are people in countries all over the world who are willing to work for a dollar an hour.”

Kiyosaki said his best friend’s father taught him wealth-building principles when he was a kid. “If you want to be rich, don’t get a job, don’t save money, and don’t get out of debt: learn to use money and be an entrepreneur.”

Kiyosaki’s recommendation for type of business? You guessed it: network marketing! He emphasizes the fact that MLMs are a great choice right now because they are inexpensive to start and operate and can be done part time.

In March, 2008, I decided to start a Activ, the healthy chocolate beverage network marketing business in Delta. I am now an entrepreneur instead of an employee. I can’t tell you how much better I feel about my families’ future.

If you want to transition from Langley employee to entrepreneur, I can show you how to get started. Visit http://philhoskins.com/more-about-xocai for an explanation of the Activ, the healthy chocolate beverage opportunity.

Keep Kids Hydrated In Delta

Keep Kids Hydrated In Delta

Children, with their smaller body weights and higher turnover of electrolytes and water, are very susceptible to dehydration. Most Delta parents know to look for the signs of dehydration when their children have a stomach sickness, but even healthy kids are at risk for dehydration, especially when they are outside on warm, sunny days. The risk is particularly high for kids who play outdoor sports in Richmond, Surrey, and Langley.

Since dehydration is such an important issue in children’s health, be sure to insist on regular fluid intake before and during all physical activity. Opt for lightweight, loose, and light-colored clothing that covers as much skin as possible. Also, stay in close communication with coaches and make sure they are aware of dehydration risk.

Children who don’t exercise much, are obese, or who are sick, have an increased risk of dehydration. It’s important to allow all kids to acclimate to the heat when the temperature goes up in Delta. Let them take it easy for the first few practice sessions.

It’s also important to help your kids recognize the symptoms of dehydration:

Thirst
Dry mouth
Headache
Dizziness
Cramps
Excessive fatigue

Can Texting Help Delta Kids Eat Healthier?

Can Texting Help Delta Kids Eat Healthier?

Hello Delta parents. I ran across an article in Women’s Day magazine with some creative suggestions for helping children lose weight and develop sensible eating habits. (‘Is My Child Too Heavy,’ Women’s Day, June 2011, p. 102)

If you are one of the many Delta parents who is worried about your child’s weight, you might find these helpful:

  1. Have kids help you prepare meals. If they prepare healthy dishes, they are more likely to eat them.
  2. Encourage volunteering. ‘Boredom often goes hand-in-hand with overeating, volunteering keeps them busy and boosts self-esteem.’
  3. Limit eating to the kitchen table. Mindlessly snacking while watching TV or playing video games can add a significant amount of calories.
  4. Text a food journal. Handy texters (doesn’t that include every kid over the age of 12?) can more easily track their eating with the device they always have with them.

Delta children’s health is a priority for me. I am entrpreneur and investor in human spirit Phil Hoskins of Delta. I sell a nutritional product that kids eat like candy. My Delta customers use Peanut Butter Cups as a healthy treat for the whole family. To order Peanut Butter Cups, call me at 604.943.8598.

Delta Healthy Chocolate Review

Posted by: Phil    in Healthy Chocolate

It is not surprising that Xocai healthy dark chocolate is getting a lot of attention. Doesn’t the term “healthy chocolate” pique your interest as well as your taste buds?

Fox59 News in Indianapolis recently did a story on Xocai healthy chocolate. In the clip, entitled ‘Xocai Healthy Chocolate Review‘, dietitian Jennifer Jones lists a few of the numerous health benefits of dark chocolate. Gerontologist Dr. Steve Warren explains why a bag of Hershey’s Kisses purchased in a Delta supermarket is far inferior to Xocai healthy chocolate.

Are you looking forward to a ‘Decade of Decadence‘ in Richmond? With Xocai, your upcoming decade could be decadent in two different ways: mouthwatering chocolate and an equally scrumptious income.

I have teamed up with Xocai for a ‘Decade of Decadence‘. Is your future as stable and certain as Vancouver dark chocolate demand?

Let’s talk business while we eat chocolate. I can be reached at 604.943.8598 and phil@philhoskins.com.

Hot Vancouver Home Business Opportunity! Energy drinks are not a passing Delta fad. They are projected to outsell Coke and Pepsi in Vancouver over the next decade. XoCai, the original healthy chocolate company, has recently introduced Xe, the first health enhancing energy drink available in Langley.

As Red Bull, Rock Star and Monster garner negative press for their health dangers and predatory marketing practices aimed at children, there is growing awareness and demand in Vancouver for non-harmful energy drinks.

I am entrpreneur and investor in human spirit Phil Hoskins, a proud and successful XoCai distributor in Delta and the surrounding cities. I am extremely glad I chose to sell XoCai (pronounced ‘show-sigh’) products when I started my business in March 2008. It was an important choice. XoCai’s primary antioxidant chocolate product line has been selling briskly in Richmond and Surrey. Now, XoCai’s Xe is bringing a whole new group of Delta XoCai customers; former Red Bull drinkers. Xe is so superior to Red Bull that it only takes one can to persuade Vancouver customers to switch.

You can help Richmond and Surrey energy drinkers avoid the health dangers of Rock Star and Monster and profit from it at the same time. Just as Langley dark chocolate lovers can replace their bad chocolate with XoCai healthy chocolate, Surrey Red Bull drinkers can replace it with Xe and receive a powerful, safe and sustained energy boost in addition to natural nourishment.

If you want to experience Xe or learn about the XoCai Vancouver small business opportunity, contact me today. My phone number is 604.943.8598 and my email address is phil@philhoskins.com.

Welcome To My Healthy Delta Kids Blog!

Posted by: Phil    in Child Health

Welcome To My Healthy Delta Kids Blog!

Hello Delta parents and kids. Welcome to my ‘Healthy Delta Kids‘ blog. I am passionate about children’s health. I want my children and your children to develop healthy habits while they are young. I hope we can help the youth of today reverse negative health trends and grow up healthier than their parents’ generation.

In our lifetimes we have learned so much about how nutrition, environmental factors, and daily habits influence our health and well-being here in BC. Let’s help our Richmond and Surrey children avoid the chronic conditions that plague the baby boomer generation. That is my goal and I hope this blog will play a part in improving health for Delta children and their counterparts everywhere. My ‘Healthy Delta Kids’ blog will post timely information about a broad range of children’s health-related topics.

  • Diet and Nutrition
  • Exercise and Recreation
  • Healthy Sleep Habits
  • Cancer Risks
  • Mental Health
  • Environmental Factors
  • Alternative and Holistic Healthcare

Healthy habits start at home. I encourage you to examine your own lifestyle and identify areas that you could improve. By setting good examples for our Vancouver children we will enjoy better health ourselves and perhaps even add some extra years.

Thanks for reading! I hope you will check back often as I plan to post new articles regularly. Here’s to your Delta family’s healthy future!

Delta Kids and Bug Bite Dangers

Posted by: Phil    in Child Health

Delta Kids and Bug Bite Dangers Healthy Delta kids love to play outdoors, but BC parents need to be aware of a potential danger: bug bites. The ability to tell a harmful bug bite from a benign one is essential to keeping your active Delta child safe.

Flea bites are common in Richmond, Surrey, and Langley. They appear as a rash on a child’s skin with individual raised spots that might have a puncture in the center. Delta children will usually complain of itchy skin if they have been bitten by fleas.

Bee and wasp stings, also common in the Vancouver area, can be differentiated by the number of stings. Bees only sting once, lose their stinger and then die, whereas wasps (as well as hornets and yellow jackets) can sting multiple times. BC homes often harbor wasp nests under the eaves.

The sting of a fire ant will usually cause Vancouver kids to have a red hive that may develop into a itchy, pus-filled lesion. Chiggers, which are tiny arachnids, cause multiple itchy red welts on kids’ skin. Check your local Delta drugstore for itch-relief products and watch the welts for signs of infection.

Ticks bites will cause an uncomfortable redness on your Vancouver child’s skin and may even swell. Since ticks can carry harmful diseases, you should contact your Delta area pediatrician if you child has had a tick bite.

My name is Phil Hoskins and children’s health is very important to me. I sell a fantastic nutritional product for Delta families. Call me at 604.943.8598 if you would like more information. Thanks for visiting my Delta children’s health blog!

Life is Better Working At Home In Delta

Life is Better Working At Home In Delta

If you don’t have your own home business yet, you must have a great Delta corporate job. If that’s not the case and you need to supplement your income, why not consider an easy home business?

Think of all the pros of running a business in your Vancouver home! You will save on gas if you don’t need to commute. (That’s a significant source of savings right there.) You can write off some of your mortgage or rent. You can set your own hours and be your own boss. Sound good?

If you have decided to launch your own Delta home business, the next step is choosing which one. I suggest a direct selling business. Today’s MLMs are much better than the companies of the past. It has never been easier to run an MLM from your Delta home.

Most of the current network marketing companies don’t require affiliates to purchase large inventories. You can buy product as you go and you won’t need to take out a loan to start your company.

I am a home based business owner in Vancouver with a large Activ, the healthy chocolate beverage network marketing business. If you are unsure about MLMs, give me a call and I will give you the straight story.
