Critical Bike Safety Rules For Richmond Parents

Posted by: Phil    in Child Health

Richmond Kids Vitamins

Parents in the Vancouver, Surrey, and Langley area who want to encourage their children to be active and healthy have probably considered bike riding. This is a great option for kids, so today in the Delta Kid’s Health Blog we want to point out some basic principles of bicycle safety.

Don’t compromise on the helmet, parents!
No matter how short the excursion is, insist that your child wear a helmet each time they ride their bike. Helmets can be purchased at any bike store and at most big box stores in the V4M 1Z9 area. And remember the power of example when it comes to children’s health (this means you need to wear your helmets too, mom and dad!).

Patience is important as your child develops biking skills. Don’t take off the training wheels until the child is ready and hold off on hand brakes until your child is an experienced rider. Remember that kids grow fast. Last year’s bike may now be too small.

Oversized bikes pose a safety risk. Take your child with you to your Vancouver or Surrey store when you purchase a bike so that you can make sure it is the proper size.

Active kids are healthy kids, and I want to do all I can to promote kids health in Richmond. My name is Phil Hoskins and I work from my Delta home business selling Peanut Butter Cups. If you would like to learn more, please give me a call at 604.943.8598 or visit me on the web at http://philhoskins.com/more-about-xocai.

4 Benefits Of BC Skate Parks

Posted by: Phil    in Child Health

Richmond kids shot schedule

Kids love to move, and if given opportunities to participate in activities they enjoy, most will get regular exercise. Vancouver youth who exercise and eat a healthy diet are less likely to be overweight.

If your child likes to skateboard, in-line skate, or ride a scooter, then you should check out the skate parks in the area. While no activity involving wheels is completely risk-free, skate parks have several advantages.

1. Skate parks provide an area away from moving vehicles.
2. No one should ever skate or ride a scooter alone, so the communal nature of a skate park is a built-in safety feature.
3. Skating in business and public areas is usually prohibited because of safety hazards and the damage that results from skating on stairs, ledges, handrails, and other structures.
4. Skate park features are designed by professionals, unlike homemade jumps, half pipes, ramps, and rails.

Children using Vancouver area skate parks should be familiar with and abide by all posted rules. In addition, participants should wear helmets and other protective gear.

My name is Phil Hoskins and I am passionate about kids health in Richmond. I want to help Vancouver area families discover outdoor activities that provide a fun way to exercise.

I sell Peanut Butter Cups. If you would like to learn more about this residual income opportunity, please contact me at 604.943.8598.

4 Critical Playground Rules For Vancouver Kids

Posted by: Phil    in Child Health

Nutrition for Vancouver children

The local playground is a good place for Richmond, Surrey, and Langley children to enjoy exercise and social interaction. However, there is potential for injury. Today in the Delta Kid’s Health Blog, we want to give you some helpful playground safety advice.

First, in the hot BC summer months parents should be sure to check any metal equipment such as slides before a child climbs on. The sun can quickly heat metal to the point that it can burn skin. Also, never allow children to play on the playground without wearing shoes.

Next, parents should pay special attention to the moving parts at their Vancouver play area. These areas should be out of reach for children, but parents should always double-check to make sure that kids can’t reach these danger zones.

Third, don’t allow children to attach other items, such as jump ropes or leashes, onto the playground equipment.

Lastly, many families choose to ride bikes to the park. This can be the perfect way to get exercise and avoid childhood obesity in Langley. Just make sure children remove their helmets as well as anything else that is around their necks (like hoodies with drawstrings).

My name is Phil Hoskins and I want to help Vancouver families raise healthy, happy kids. Issues such as proper nutrition and kid’s immunization schedules are often on my mind. I am the proud owner of my own Vancouver area home business that sells Peanut Butter Cups.

The Lethal Machine In Your Langley Garage

Posted by: Phil    in Child Health

Richmond Kids Vitamins

As Vancouver kids get older, they often are able to help out around the house. Giving kids more responsibility is essential to their health and development, but parents should be sure to know what responsibilities their children are ready for, especially when it comes to working in the yard.

Mowing the lawn is  a weekly chore for many Vancouver families, and most parents are happy to turn this job over to an older child. However, parents should be absolutely sure that their child is old enough (and mature enough) to safely operate the machinery. After all, we’re talking about sharp, motorized blades whirring within arm’s length of our child’s legs and feet. Because these machines are commonplace, many parents forget how dangerous they are. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children be at least twelve years of age before using a walk-behind mower and sixteen for ride-on mowers. Of course, this doesn’t mean that every teen is capable of safely mowing the lawn, these are only general guidelines.

Anyone operating a mower should wear sturdy shoes instead of sandals. Remove objects from the lawn such as toys and small rocks before mowing, and insist that your child wear eye protection while they mow.

Regardless of who is cutting the grass at your Richmond, Surrey, or Delta home, young children should not be outside playing while the mower is running.

My name is Phil Hoskins and I am very interested in kids health in Richmond. I am your local source for Peanut Butter Cups in the Vancouver area and online.

There is no delivered process to synchronize the Business Email Address on the Operator Id and the Business Email Address for the Person in PeopleSoft HCM. Workflow uses the Operator Id (Primary) Email Address and the hover users the Business Email Address from the Person.

Normally the Operator Id Business Email Address is maintained, possibly even by LDAP and some Id Provisioning technique. What is not normally maintained it the Person Business Email Address unless a business process informs HR to make this change.

To automate this synchronization a process can be scheduled to run to maintain these two email address in sync. This can be done as a batch process or as an add-on to the sign-on PeopleCode. Here’s the SQL for your reference:
